I’m running to be your Lieutenant Governor to give back to the Commonwealth that has given me so much.
From serving as a Selectman in my native Lancaster through nearly two decades in senior roles for President Obama, Senator Kennedy and Mayor Menino, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work on many of Massachusetts’ largest opportunities and challenges.
In that time, here’s what I’ve learned: the best way to tackle tough problems is head on, and the best way to earn your trust is to trust you.
I hope you will join our growing campaign: connect with us here, on social media and around the Commonwealth.
We have a lot of important work to do together – let’s get started!
ORANGE— State Rep. Denise Andrews, an Democrat from Orange, announced her support for Steve Kerrigan’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor today.
For years Steve Kerrigan has been a behind-the-scenes player — the kind of guy other politicians depend on to get things done. Which is not a bad resume for someone who wants to be the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor.
Yes, the state has gotten along quite nicely recently without a lieutenant governor, whose only constitutional function is to preside over the Governor’s Council and fill in should the governor be absent or incapacitated. But that’s not to say an able right hand wouldn’t come in handy.
